SEX ADDICTION: WHAT IS IT AND WHAT HELP IS AVAILABLE? (7 lectures/ no charge)
We are beginning the much awaited lecture series on "Sex Addiction". We will provide 6 lectures to educate the community regarding this problem and to share information regarding treatment and services. Lectures are on Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:00 pm. Lectures will cover the following topics:
Lecture #1: Overview of Signs and Symptoms Sex Addiction: Categories of sex addition. How it impacts the individual, the family and the community.
Lecture #2: The Sex Addiction & Sexual Anorexia: Understanding the addict and the problem. How this addiction works physiologically, biologically, mentally and emotionally. What help is available. How does treatment work?
Lecture #3: Partners/Spouses of Sex Addicts: Learn about the special coping mechanisms that partners and spouses of sex addicts develop. Information about co-addiction/co-dependency/love addiction. Learn how to identify your own behaviors and develop healthier coping skills.
Lecture #4: Cybersex-the Crack Cocaine of Sex Addiction:
Lecture #5: Adolescent Sex Addiction: How recognize whether your child might have a problem. What you can do as a parent to help.
Lecture #6: Sex Addiction and the Family: How sex addiction becomes a family systems problem. How to heal and stop the cycle.
Lecture #7: Sex Addiction and Marriage/Coupleship. How does it survive? Do you even want it to? What help is available?
